Nice big hotel, but not exactly a bargain in our case. Big room with pleasant views over cricket ground and the hotel grounds. Hotel relatively cosy, but pretty run down. Staff sometimes helpful, other times not. Breakfast was delayed (we had an early start), even though staff did their best to accomodate. For the price paid we had expected a bit more abnd better service, to be honest. |

The water is scalding hot and there was no warning sign in the bathroom in our room. Also there was no safety stop on the shower which meant that when my husband inadvertently turned the dial the wrong way whilst trying to turn it off he was showered with scalding hot water. This could be a hazard for young children using our room. |

Very disappointing, although the rate paid was less than quoted by Late Rooms due to reduced weekend rate. The bathroom was dirty. The worst nights sleep I can remember having in a hotel due to feeling the springs in the mattress, which was also very dirty. Booked an early call which was not given. Main reason for booking was use of leisure facilities which all closed at 4pm on Saturday - exact time of check-in. Will definitely not use again. |
