From The South: Take the M6 then on to M74 then on to M73/M80 (Stirling) then first slip road left for M8 Glasgow City Centre, then continue on M8 (Westbound/Glasgow Airport). From M8 (Westbound) exit at Erskine Bridge, following road signed Bishopton/Erskine. Take a left at first roundabout signed Bishopton, continue past HP Compaq on right, going straight through mini roundabout, past Bishopton parish church on the right (Drumcross Road on your left). Take next immediate right at Gatehouse and follow road straight into Mar Hall. From M8 (Eastbound) exit at Erskine Bridge, following signs for Bishopton/Erskine. The same directions from this point apply.

The room was a good size with excellent bathroom containing full walk - in shower and two washbasins. There was a sofa and coffee table in front of a cabinet containing the television,safe and fridge.We had a lovely view out onto the River Clyde and the hills and as there was no upstairs in our part of the hotel - we had no other guest noise and it was extremely quiet. The food in the restaurant was really nice and the waiters were efficient and friendly.The prices were high for drinks but as it was a special occasion for us we paid up!The swimming pool was a nice size - but the changing rooms were small with the showers mouldy and needing a good clean.
The bedroom we were given was a long walk from the Reception but we didn't mind that although the room could do with being updated and the television was of the older variety. Trying to put on my make - up was irritating as the room was very dingy and I had to keep going into the bathroom to check I hadn't overdone it.
The building is a large old baronial -type which has been renovated and is surrounded by beautiful scenery and the new golf course. Easy access to Glasgow, the airport and the M8 - but no noise or irration from any of these places.
