Opened in August 2006, the Fitzwilton Hotel is a beautifully crafted 3* city centre hotel in Waterford City offering the utmost in comfort & hospitality to all its guests. The hotel is newly constructed and sits on the site previously occupied by the Metropole. The Hotel is contemporary in design, blending traditional woods with modern art & funky lighting. Dish Restaurant offers a varied menu to suit all tastes with a heavy emphasis on European style food prepared with only the best of local Irish produce. Aqua bar has all the ingredients to guarantee an enjoyable evening, combining wood & leather sofas and booths with Funky coloured lightening. From the N9, take Rice Bridge towards Waterford City. Continue straight ahead onto Bridge Street and the hotel is situated 50m ahead on the right hand side. From the N25, continue along the N25 on to the Quays. Continue as far as the turn for Rice Bridge but do not cross the bridge. Instead, take a left onto Bridge Street and the hotel is situated 50m ahead on the right hand side of Bridge Street.

    Good value because i had a last minute deal. Not too far from the centre and free parking. High quality of room, although not the biggest in the world....

    The hotel was easy to walk to from both the train and bus station- I cannot speak to parking arrangements though. The staff was helpful and the rooms were clean and up to date. The hotel is only about a year and a half old and it looks like they've done a good job maintaining it so far. We only ate in the bar once- it was good, but fairly standard pub food. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back if we were in the area again.
