The Parkbury is a warm friendly hotel conveniently located only a few minutes from Sandown's busy seafront promenade and leisure centre. Throughout the centrally heated hotel, extensive use has been made of wood panelling and marquetry recovered from the R.M.S. Aquitania - last of the four funnel Steamers to cross the Atlantic. The ocean travel theme has been extended to many parts of the hotel through signage and memorabilia. The Isle of Wight has long been one of England's most popular holiday resorts, its fine weather and friendly atmosphere encourages many visitors to return year after year. Bathroom/shower in need of re-furbishment,not particularly clean.Furniture in room not brilliant. Might stay there again if we knew the above had been rectified.

We enjoyed our stay at the Parkbury. The staff were mainly helpful and friendly. Food was well cooked and adequate. The Hotel overall is looking a bit jaded, but at this stage in the season, that is probably understandable.

I read the reviews before I came and think that some of them had stayed at a different hotel. It was excellent, no noise at all, very clean, great helpful staff and great value for money.
If I had any complaint it would be that I couldn`t watch CSI because there was no channel 5 on my TV - (feeble complaint eh?)
