This hotel has 50 bedrooms - 25 are newly renovated and I was lucky to get one of these. I think the older rooms are not so good. I was given a double bedroom (although I only booked a single) which had lovely modern furnishings and a comfortable bed, also a huge plasma screen TV and beautiful bathroom. For £19 bed and breakfast it was excellent value. This was a Sunday night, which is always cheaper, but I would have been quite happy to pay more for the quality of room I got. I would definitely stay here again. |

This was our second stay at the Columba Hotel, and yet again when we arrived there was not enough bed linen or towels. It was made worse by the fact that i had previously called to say we would be late arrivals so they had all day to have our room ready. We were given some excuse about the staff being Polish, which i found very uncomfortable as it shouldnt matter what nationality the staff are. |

We only had bed and breakfast and were hardly there otherwise. Room was very good and worth the bit we paid to upgrade to harbour view with lounge area. Excellent buffet breakfast. |

We booked a superior room for £10 extra, and boy did we get a superior room - we were allocated the windows room, which had two double beds/a sofa and two chairs/a drawing table etc/ 12 windows which spanned 3 walls of the room (absolutely fabulous). Our other party had a single room - again superior - this room had been renovated to a high standard. |
