It advertised a 'full Scottish breakfast', well, not exactly. They did have bacon, eggs, and cereal, but not the rest, and not great quality. The rooms are old and need some work, esp. the toilet. If, though, I knew someone who wanted to stay near the university cheap and they didn't mind the limited breakfast, then this might be a good place for them. |

I wasn't expecting much from this hotel as it was so cheap but it really was the pits. On my arrival I was informed that there was a fee for using any sort of card as payment and since it was nowhere near a cash machine I had no choice but to pay it. My room stank of cigarettes and the staff had left a huge holdall in it which I had to ask them to remove. The shared bathroom was manky and I had to scrub the bath before it was fit for human use. My room had lots of exposed cables and felt like a dungeon. I woke up at 7.30am with kids running about and shouting and promptly got up and left because the thought of staying in that room for a second longer was just too much to bear. I really wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone as there are some much nicer ones in the city that are only a little bit more expensive. |
