Wonderful "pub/B&B" in a quiet village close to Windermere, but away from the tourist strip! Full of character and with a first class restaurant. |

the hotel wasn't too difficult to find and about 10 minutes drive to the windermere town centre. the room was surprisingly huge and absolutely clean with a 5 star shower. staffs were friendly and handcooked us a wonderful breakfast. what can i say, the place feels just like home. although there are cheaper places to stay around, its definately worth the price. |

The food was excellent We ate in the bar the first night and on Saturday we ate in the restaurant. Our room was very large and extremely comfortable, very nicely decorated, my only comment was the shower needed attention. |
