GETTING TO ST. ANDREWS St Andrews is in the Kingdom of Fife on Scotland's east coast. There are three major international airports that guests fly into: Edinburgh (Approximatley 83.5 km / 52 miles) Glasgow (Approximatley 118.9 km / 73.9 miles) Aberdeen (Approximatley 135 km / 84 miles) Transfer to Fairmont St Andrews is approximately 1 hour from Edinburgh or from Glasgow. It is possible to take the scenic route from Edinburgh Airport to St Andrews, driving through picturesque and charming fishing villages, but this adds approximately 30 minutes to the journey. EDINBURGH AIRPORT INFORMATION (EDI) Located: 83.5 km / 52 miles, or about a 75-minute drive from the resort. This hotel is fantastic. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much bother. The room was gorgeous and we were up graded which was lovely. We ate in one of the restaurants, and while as you would expect for a 5 star hotel, it wasn't cheap, the food, wine and service was brilliant. The spa and fitness centre was all available to us, and again the attention to detail was amazing. We had a wonderful stay- I am going to go back as soon as I can. Do yourself a favour and have a stay at this hotel.

I complain about everything - I could not fault this hotel on anything. It was excellent. Not sure it is quite worth £300 a night as standard, but with a deal I would absolutely recommend it. 6*

Having stayed in many nice hotels over the years and in many different countries we would have to say that this was the most complete package ever.......the staff, food and rooms were second to none.......this is how a hotel should be run, we were made to feel comfortable in every way from the moment we arrivied to the minute we left. Will return with out a shadow of a doubt........

first class hotel. room very large. location stunning. very friendly staff. shuttle bus to st. andrews very handy. price of drinks very expensive. only drawback it would have been cheaper if we had booked direct with hotel.
