Juliots Well Cottages and Lodges

Camelford, Camelford

Set in 33 acres of beautiful woodland with extensive views across some of the finest Cornish countryside. Facilities include an outdoor heated swimming pool (mid-May to mid-Sep), large attractive Coach House bar with conservatory, restaurant with a range of a la carte dishes, children's play area, games room with pool table and machines, launderette and free car parking. Shop selling basic essentials and newspapers. The nearest beach is at Trebarwith around 4 miles away. Tintagel, Boscastle, Port Isaac and the Eden Project are all within an easy drive.

Take M5 (or A30/A303) to Exeter. Turn off M5 onto A340 for Okehampton. Continue on A30, by-passing Launceston, then turn right onto A395. Turn left when A395 joins A39 and Camelford is then approximately 3 miles. Staying on A39 go through Camelford and within 1/2 mile (just after road sign for Valley Truckle) turn right and then first left, signposted Lanteglos. Site is 300 yards down on the right. The distance from Camelford to Juliot's Well is approximately one mile.

Lodges are fantastic value for money - spacious, warm, well-equipped. Pub/restaurant on site
great for a drink and a hearty meal. Waitress was lovely and managed to seat 9 of us at short notice despite a busy night. Great base from which to explore - Tintagel/Eden/Port Isaac /Bowood Park golf etc. Would definately go back.

This was the second year we had stayed at these lodges. We have stayed in 2 different types of lodge, but each time they have been very clean and tidy. The staff at reception are pleasant and helpful. I actually left my phone charger in the lodge this year, but when i realised and phoned them, they were very helpful in looking for it and very kind in sending it back to my home address. We will definitely be booking to go again next year. Thank you for a lovely relaxing break.
