Directions to Castle Hotel
Conwy is on the A55 expressway from Chester to Holyhead, off Junction 18 when travelling west and J17 eastbound. Follow signs for Conwy, using the medievel castle as your landmark. Conwy has narrow streets and so uses a one way traffic management system, stay on the one way system in a clockwise direction, effectively circumnavigating the town walls. This will bring you parallel with the estuary and quay, travelling along Berry street. The view of the Castle is directly ahead. Just before a light controlled pedesrian crossing, turn right up High Street, the hotel dominates the street on the left

I arrived stressed out as I had had a rough time in my life recently, as soon as I walked throught the door I was transported back to another time in history, I only live in Colwyn Bay but I badly needed a break & I have always loved Conwy, why make things complicated when you have the best on your doorstep. My room was an upgraded single with a 3/4 size bed, it was beautifully decorated in keeping with the amazing hotel. The restaurant was fabulous & the food was 'to die for'. It was clean, spotless, the staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble..all credit to the staff who make your stay memorable, hassle free. With the Castle Hotel you get quality all round. Want somwhere to stay ? Go to The Castle Hotel...why shop around when you have this awesome hotel to stay in...simple...sorted. I will definatly be going back, no questions asked. |

this is a beautiful old hotel with very creaky floorboards and lots of history. We were fortunate enough to get a reduced rate if we stopped 2 or 3 nights. We stopped in a superior room which overlooked the main street. The room wasn't noisy even though it had the original single glazed leaded windows. The huge bed was extremely comfortable and the room was furnished beautifully. The en-suite bathroom unfortunately had an extractor system that could only cope with a dolls house, which meant the steam hung around for ages, turning straightened hair frizzy again if you dared enter. Dinner in the restaurant would have been better if hadn't tried so hard. Excellent quality ingredients were flavoured, altered and morphed into unrecognisable items. |

Hotel was great as were the staff, especially the young man working in the restaurant with the unsual hair cut, his knowledge of the food etc was brilliant, a real credit to the hotel. Only negative was the delivery wagon which came around 5ish and banged about until 6.15am. I especially asked for a quiet room and the staff had recieved my e-mail, maybe they were not aware that the delivery vans came at this time it was brookes delivery van by the way. The room it self was great and I would recommend, but if you want a quiet night room 112 may not be for you. |
