Lovely hotel built in 1575 with lots of beams, sloping ceilings and floors which all added to the charm. Staff very friendly and helpful and would have no hesitation in recommending. Hope to return. |

Having read some of the reviews for this hotel i was unsure what to expect but although we didn`t get the room we booked,i`m sure the one we were given was of the same standard and we were given a complimentry bottle of wine for our trouble, that was a nice touch.I must add the staff were both pleasant and courteous and the food was excellent.Definitely a place we will be visiting again. |

We wanted as quiet couple of days before Xmas rust and were certainly not disapoined. Lovely hotel in beautiful quiet location. Staff were some of the friendliest I have ever come across. In one way the fact that the hotel was nearly empty meant service was tip top but in another this meant there were too quiet public rooms. Appart from that the only slight criticism was the room heating appeard to be switched off in the day. The room (no 1) was lovely and large with a patio area. |

Lovely 4 poster room. Slightly dissappointed to have a shower and no bath which is unusual in this quality of room. A good quality hotel with friendly and helpful staff . . . . no complaints. |
