Turas-Mara Guest House

25 Castlehill Road, Ayr

A warm scottish welcome awaits you at this beatifully maintained centrally located victorian villa. Less than 10 minutes from Prestwick Airport by road or rail. Ayr town centre with all is amenities and the railway station are only a 5 minute walk. For the comfort of all our guests there is totally no smoking throughout the property.
All our bedrooms have en-suite with a shower, complimentary hospitality trays, colour tvs with digital freeveiw, radio alarms, hairdryers and other extras to help you enjoy your stay.
Wi-Fi internet access is available. Ironing facilities are also available.
There is private parking at the rear. At the front is a well tended colourful garden which is overlooked by our dining room. There is a choice of breakfasts to suit all tastes and diets. Breakfast is normally from 08.00 to 09.00 (between 07.00 to 08.00 by request). For our guests departing before 07.00 we do a takeway picnic breakfast. Their is also a supper menu available till 22.15.
We are happy to wait up for any guests arriving after 22.00. Please let us know at time of booking giving your flight number if applicable.
Turas-Mara is the ideal base for golf with all South Ayrshire's finest golf courses on our doorstep. We can arrange golf packages which can be upgraded to include transport, with airport transfers, and/or packed lunches.
Also within walking distance are the racecourse, Scottish Bowling Centre, Gaiety Theatre and seafront. Burns country is 10 minutes by road (Burns Cottage, Burns Centre, Brig O'Doon etc).

Leave A77 at Holmston roundabout and follow Holmston Road till you come to 2 mini roundabout take the exit for A713 that is Castlehill Road and we are opposite Morrisons. From Airport follow A79 till the roundabout at Police station go straight along John Street till fire station turn left at roundabout up past railway station and follow instrutions as above for A713. Only 5 minutes walk from Railway Station.

Cannot fault this place at all. Telephoned on the day to request an early check in and it was agreed no problem. The room I stayed in was very nice and there were some lovely touches like sweets,biscuits and magazines.
Excellent B & B and would defenitely stay again.

The guest house was very easy to locate. It is on the way into Ayr town centre and a 5 minute walk from the centre. The Hostess was very friendly and we received excellent customer service. The food was great and we felt very welcome and at home. We will definitely stay there again if we visit Ayr in the future.

Could not fault this guest house at all. The owner/manager was incredably nice and courteus and recomended a lovely restaurant for dinner. Was very impressed with the fact that you were given a packed brekfast if you leave too early for breakfast service, it was a very nice touch.
