A nice hotel with great facilities - and good value at £68. The most rambling hotel I have ever stayed-in but the room was modern, neat, comfortable, clean - everything you need. The leisure centre was very nice - if you can find it (it was not posted from anywhere in the hotel I could see, and I only found it by accident by going out of an emergency door for a breath of air. A number of nice bars where I enjoyed an above average bar meal. Great breakfast in the main restaurant. Would definately recommend.

Good value through laterooms.com. Friendly staff. Set in nice grounds although the local area is a bit "down-at-heal". Only had an overnight stay and local places to eat are limited if not eating in the hotel. had previously attended a wedding here in 2001 which was excellently managed .

The room I was given initally was very noisy- with a noisy extractor fan outside and a fuse box inside. The staff however were happy to move me to a different room, and I got an upgrade thrown in too.
Although the staff were lovely and friendly, the food in the restaruant let them down. Although the menu was interesting, the food was rather bland and my roased shalottes were more raw than roasted! They would do well to not try to be so fancy, but provide better cooked food!

We stayed here because we were wedding guests at a wedding reception held at the hotel. The grounds of the hotel are lovely. The room was very nice. Breakfast was good for a buffet style breakfast.
I wouldn't stay there again as the location is not somewhere i would choose.
the hotel is a warren and there are many stairs to get to the rooms so i wouldn't recommend for anyone who had mobility problems.
