Overall disappointing - but excellent location & initial impression good. Quality & value for money of the room disappointing. Dinner - although expectations were high - there were too many basic errors for the price charged. Four poster room was very poor value for money. Breakfast served over a very short time period (08:30 - 09:15 on a Sunday) & no notice given of the breakfast time - however, although arrived too late - staff did make arrangements to serve breakfast which was good quality. |

Restaurant was good. Service warm and friendly. Overpriced. Room was in need of decoration. The bed was uncomfortable, pillows needed replacing. The curtain did not block out light so was awake from dawn. |

Excellent pub with good, if a little dated, rooms. Quality of beer (real ales) and food absolutely excellent. In a beautiful, remote countryside setting. Definitely recommended. |
