I was treated like royalty. A fantastic friendly hotel set in beautiful countryside. I only wish I had been able to stay longer than one night - a weekend would have been lovely. Food and family wonderful! |

The Hotel is very easy to find and the directions given were spot on. As the Hotel is family run the welcome is very friendly. The bedroom was comfortable with a nice dual aspect. The views across the River Wye were stunning. The bathroom was adequate. The bed was huge but a bit lumpy but you could sleep quite comfortably. We opted to eat in and the quality of the food was superb. All appeared to be home made and very tasty. The hotel has a good wine list but I was a little disappointed that the Champagne I ordered wasn’t chilled when brought to the table but they did cool it down in time for the meal. Breakfast was very nice with the usual offerings. Overall the Hotel is ideally located for exploring Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth. If I was staying in this area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this hotel. |
