The Hawksmoor is a lovely spacious Lakeland guest house with 9 en-suite bedrooms. It is ideally situated between, and within walking distance, of the villages of Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere, where you can find many shops, restaurants and of course the lake itself.
The house itself enjoys a relaxing private garden to the front, woodland to the rear and spacious off-road parking.
Guests of The Hawksmoor are also entitled to complimentary use of the leisure facilities at Parklands Country Club in Bowness, so don't forget to bring your swimming costume and a towel! Facilities offered free of charge include the use of the gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, squash court, steam bath and sauna, as well as an upstairs bar with full size snooker tables and sports TV.

Approaching Windermere on the A591 from the M6,turn left onto the A592 & down through the village of Windermere, following the signs for Bowness.Half a mile after the Zebra crossing you will see a large block of woodland on the right. We are the second property on the right as the woodland appears to finish. Opposite the Catholic Church.

The accommodation was fantastic and we really enjoyed ourselves. the owners were helpful and gave great ideas about what was avaliable to do at the time of year we stayed.

A lovely, friendly place to stay. Very clean and well cared for. Breakfast was delicious - well cooked, quality food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only small criticism was the size of the room. It wasn't very big, but did look out over the garden, which was pleasant.

Perfect Guest House. Warm welcome on arrival, excellent room, very helpful staff. Excellent choice for breakfast, and good quality, set us up for the day ! Easy to find, and plenty of parking space. Will definately come back, and have already recommended to a friend, at work for a christmas break !!
