Hotel Mónaco offers comfort and is ideally located close to Faro Airport, Beach, Faro Shopping area, University and 7km away from Algarve Stadium.Built in 1995, this 3+ Star Hotel boasts a total of 64 rooms spread over 4 floors.The hotel lobby has a 24-hour reception, a currency exchange desk, a lift and a café. Additional facilities include a TV room and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant with high chairs for infants. In addition, it boasts a bicycle cellar and bicycle rental as well as Internet access with wireless connection through WLAN. Guests may park their cars in the car park (free of charge). Laundry services are available as well as medical assistance.This popular city hotel lies in a quarter of Faro, close to the international airport.     very impressed by the value for money v quality of the food in the restaurant. the meat and seafood paella is to die for. room spacious enough and kept tidy. restricted tv coverage but hey we were on holiday. lift sluggish to say the least. air con in room a bonus. certainly no serious complaints and would definitely keep in mind for any future stay.

    Hotel Monaco was ideally situated for both Faro town and airport with the hotel providing courtesy transport to both. The room was clean, tidy and well equipped with all basic amenities including mini bar. The bar was happy for families to sit and relax with a drink and the pool area was very inviting.Our only minor concerns were, when lying in our room at approximately 0745 a large tour bus parked at the entrance of the hotel directly below our room with the engine running, a call to reception to ask him to move or turn off the engine was met with the reply of 'he is leaving soon' and the bus proceeded to stay another 20 minutes.When checking out the hotel attempted to charge us a room rate of 104 euros as opposed to the 85 quoted by Laterooms, this was amended on production of the Laterooms e-mail. All in all a pleasant location for late arrivals or early starts to Faro and the airport.

    The hotel is still fresh after a recent refurbishment and the quality of the rooms is surprising high in this price range. It is very close to the airport (5 minutes taxi). Two small complaints- the shuttle to the airport only operates during normal business hours approx 9.00 -5.00, so don't expect to have free transport to the airport in the evenings or early morning. Quality of breakfast is poor- the very cheapest of everything - eat at the airport or go into town instead.
    I'd definitely stay here again if I needed to arrive late and be very near the airport for an early flight . However, the city centre is only a few km away and if you have few hours to spend then it's better to stay in the centre and enjoy it rather than be in the faceless suburb the Hotel is situated in.

    Very convenient for airport. In a residential area so had to eat in hotel restaurant which wasn't bad.
