Very good place to stay. The only drawback was the lack of twin room that I booked via Laterooms.com and my sons had to sleep in the double room.

The hotel room is spacious and in good condition though the building was a bit old (as expected in Florence). The breakfast room is small but very cosy. Shame that they serve only continental breakfast, not much choices at all!
Travellers from APAC region like ourselves do not expect hotel rooms not equipped with a kettle or drinking water. But there is small shop (just opposite to the hotel) + supermarket nearby which you can get what you want.
Most important thing is - no elevator/escalator found in the hotel. We have to climb up the stairs carrying 2 heavy loaded luggages from G/F to their reception area, which is on the 1/F. There is only a young lady working in the reception area. Not much help can be expected for your luggages!!!
The lady at the reception was friendly and helpful, especially with the recommendation of places to visit and venues to dine. But don't bother asking the hotel to book tickets for the museum. The hotel would charge you with an additional handling fee. We made this big mistake cos we did not realize the additional charge was counted by person for each of our visit, which personally I think is quite expensive.......
On the whole, if you want to experience something different with the ordinary businees hotel, the hotel is something you can consider ^_^ ^_^

We found the hotel well placed for the city sites. The hotel was fitted to a high standard with beautifull rooms and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The position was fantastic, just a very short walk to the Duomo and Florence is very compact.The taxi driver didn't intially know where it was but found it using the building number and street. Carrying the luggage up the stairs is the only drawback we found and was more than cancelled out by low mini bar prices and an excellent chilled white wine from their own estate. I didn't try the red but am sure it will also be very quaffable. Having read about booking problems on other websites I emailed them in advance to confirm our estimated time of arrival. They let me use their computer to check flights, tickets. etc.
If this is your first time in Florence take their free map, which is a good one, and also their leaflets on local attractions.
The room decoration and size were great and the bathroom excellent, the balcony was not over large but was nice. The aircon was adequate and not too noisy.
Reception and all staff were very helpful. The 20% discount from Laterooms made this very upmarket B&B excellent value for money.
They are adding two new supersize rooms to be called Sun and Moon, which reflect their policies on quality, ie two large rather than four small!
Will visit again.

The hotel rallyfalls under the catigory of posh B&B. The rooms were fantastic although there are no tea or coffee making facilities. I would stay again but not bother with breakfast as the food available from stalls and shops nearby was far superior.
