The room was cold. Attempts to rectify this failed until midnight. Our 'new' room suffered TWO power cuts probably due to the damp and faulty wiring. We were charged £95 through laterooms but the rack rate at this hotel is £80. Extremely overpriced at £80. We declared late arrival by phone at 9pm but were told the restaurant would close at 8:45. Hotel brochure says 9pm. Would not use this place again. AWFUL

Food OK although breakfast was buffet style and served on cold plates. Hotel very tired and in need of through updating and clean. Room was and smelt dusty. Bathroom unacceptable with broken toilet that had been glued back.
Room rate quoted on the Late Rooms site was some £18 greater than the rack rate listed at the hotel. For a site that promises discount rates thia is not acceptable. Altogether not an enjoyable stay.

The food was fantastic- fresh and exciting, v well presented. However it was quite pricey. The staff were friendly and helpful. The unfortunate part of our stay was the lack of atmosphere due to a guest shortage. Our standard room was also shabby- the bathroom needed a refit and the wardrobes and table furniture were v dated. The superior rooms were fine according to another guest. There is also nowhere to walk to as the hotel is on a busy A road.

The room was a good size and comfortably fitted but not very warm The batyhroom layout and facilities, however, designed for a disabled person, were quite inadequate for anyone, like us, who was not disabled (and this was classified as a "superior" room). Otherwise the hotel was fine and the service and food in the restaurant (dinner and breakfast) were excellent..
