I arrived to find my room had a "drain unblocker spray" positioned on the sink of my bathroom. By the amount of airfreshener in the room I assume they had a few issues. Although, the room was presented in a clean state.
The waiting staff were pleasant but service was slow and the food wasn't good for the price. I had a chocolate mud cake which tasted like a slab of lard painted in butter. The breakfast sausages were an aquired taste.

We would have preferd to have paid the full Hotel bill at reception when we checked out rather than be billed for the extra meals and drink by post afterwards. total spent was approx £ 140 not the £ 70 as stated above.
also it was disappointing that the Lounge/Bar was closed for a refit, otherwise it was a pleasant stay.
