Very long walk from reception to our room, involving many sets of stairs - not easy with 2 cases. However our room (351) did have a balcony with sea views - an unexpected bonus

Great weekend - shower did not work in room but resolved very quickly and with the minimum of fuss we were moved to another room which was larger and nicer. We had Table d'Hote menu on the Sat evening and it was absolutely superb. all staff appeared to be very friendly particularly reception and the female Restaurant Manager. All in all we had a great weekend but next time would love to have a seaview room with balcony to really make the most of the great location.

On our arrival we were checked in by a brilliant receptionist who was polite, welcoming and friendly. But aftter that the customer service wasn't great. Never rude, but not helpful or friendly.
Our first night at the bar, my partner wanted to eat and we were told to take a seat and someone would come to take our order - they never did, he ordered at the bar in the end. On our departure we weren't asked if we'd enjoyed our stay, or offered the 10% return booking voucher as promised in the welcome letter. Just given the bill with the most basic level of interaction.
Breakfast was a farce. The waiting staff i can only presume were new this season as they couldn't get the hang of their sections. You had to call staff over to get tea/coffee toast, and if it wasn't their section they refused to help! I ordered poached eggs on toast (as offered on the menu). I had to ask 3 different people for it and it arrived 25mins after ordering and after my partner had finished his breakfast. I hope they improve as the season goes on.
It was disappointing, having recently returned from Rhodes where the hotel staff are friendly, welcoming, charming and a joy to stay with, their British counterparts seemed as though they didn't really care. The hotel itself was lovely, a nice room, good location, good facilities, but not welcoming as i'd expect from such an establishment.
