The receptionist was very abrupt and unfriendly. In fact, she asked for payment when we checked-in, and I asked her to check as I thought it was already paid for. She very abruptly replied that it wasn't and that it was just a reservation, and so she charged my credit-card. Only today did I receive my bank statement and found that I had actually paid on the 16th September, and was re-charged on the 15th October. In fact, I would appreciate if you could help me with this. The room was cold, and there was only a sofa in the room where my daughter could sleep. There was a nasty smell in the corridor (a cleaning solvent smell), but cannot say the room was too bad.

the hotel was good, the people behind the desk were friendly, but not very helpfull. the Metza restaurant is a complete wast of space. it has no ambience. it is just a place to eat, not cosy. put just a few flowers in it.

My comments could be for any one of Travelodges sites - the "fast food" of the hotel industry. Always one near when you need it, expect the basic and you won't be disappointed, and always leaves you thinking "I wish I had paid a little bit more and had the real thing". Pleasant reception staff and easy to get to
