Holiday Inn Leeds-Garforth

Heating in room was not working on arrival. We called reception who said it takes 20 minutes to become effective. We went out for the evening and came back to a cold room. We tried the heating again and went to bed. It was very cold during the night. i called reception in the morning - they sent someone to check - who confirmed it was not working and sent us a mobile heater. Then on 2nd evening I went to run a bath. No hot water - only from the bath. I called reception - run it for a while they said as you are at the end of the corridor. I ran it for a while - same. No one came. I filled the bath using kettles and the shower hose. On check out I advised of these issues - "how bad is that" she said. I asked her to make a note of these comments. She didnt and as I walked away she was onto the next customer - so probably our expereince has gone unnoticed and the next ones in room 85 will have the same problem. Shocking. We only want three things from a hotel. Comfort, warmth and hot water.

During the last few days we have unfortunately experienced some temporary problems with the boiler which resulted in the issues with the temperature and the hot water. I am pleased to say the fault has now been rectified and the boiler is now working at full capacity. I know that I can never change the experience you had but believe this occasion to be most untypical for our normally high standards of service.

Fantastic no faults at all, the staff couldnt do enough for us will definitly go back.

First class facilities, food and value - what more do you want?

I found the beds to be very hard and the pillows to be nearly 'none existant' however this is personal preference. Overall I found the room to be small and dated I certainly think there are much better hotels in the area for around the same price.

We were sorry to learn of your disappointment with your pillow, however, we do offer guests a pillow menu for them to select the most suitable pillow for them. Room was cheap, hot water bit dodgy. Nothing special.
