Although upon arrival our booking for a twin was not available, staff very quickly found us a very large and nice twin room for no extra cost. Hotel and food was very good, in beautiful setting. |

Faded grandeur is about right - our four-poster room was very nice, but the telly was very old (worn out buttons on the remote a bit of a giveaway) and the bathroom could do with a bit of a touch-up in a couple of places. |

A lovely old country house where the service was courteous and attentive but unobtrusive. The food was excellent. The restaurant was airy and pleasant and the menu provided very good choice with much locally produced produce. The appetisers and nibbles before the meal were delicious and different. Breakfast in the conservatory was a treat on a sunny clear morning. |
