A beautiful hotel with friendly staff, excellent service and set in gorgeous scenery. The food was first class meaning that we ate far too much! We had a fabulous time staying here and would definitely stay again when next in Portree. |

The discounted rate of £60 a night was good value for money but this hotel is not worth the rack rate. The room was spacious enough but rather cold. Food here is of good quality, very well prepared and well priced. In contrast, the wine list (although imaginative) was vastly overpriced - 300 to 400% mark up is just not acceptable. The staff were very helpful and the hotel setting is lovely. The main drawback is that the public rooms are a big disappointment, lacking character and being badly lit and unimaginately decorated. A hotel on Skye should be warm and welcoming, with open fires in the winter and easy chairs in which to sit and while away the evening. Sorting this issue would elevate this hotel to a very desirable destination. |
