The Crown Hotel

Crown Place, Harrogate

Located in the centre of Harrogate - ideal for business or pleasure.Our Refurbishment is now completed with all of our ground floor including our disabled lift and toliet now completley refurbished with 98% of the bedroom stock completed the remainder is ongoing for completion.Our ground floor has been enhanced with the newly named "Henry's" bar and the "Place" both offering an extensive cocktail list and "around the world selection of coffee's" If you are feeling hungry there are several ways to eat at the Crown hotel, either a light snack in the Place bar, or more formal dinner in our restaurant or we have a very tasty room service menu to suit all.
The Carpark is at the front of the hotel, alternative parking is nearby either at the pay/display or off street parking should you have a problem please ask at reception for directions.
Finally due to high demand the Crown Hotel is completely Non Smoking.

The hotel was not busy, probably due to the time of the year. The breakfast was not as good as last time I stayed there.

The rooms were nice - well presented and clean. Unfortunately my room had previously occupied by a smoker who had smoked out of the window (as I discovered when I opened the window to get rid of the smell) and the room still smelled quite strongly when I arrived. Otherwise, great. There was a wedding on, and when we arrived we were asked what sort of time we were thinking of sleeping and if we wanted a room particularly away from the noise. We said yes and heard nothing all night. Very comfortable bed.

Large basic room, clean , tidy. Friendly professional reception staff.
Some rooms have to be accessed via short fllight of stairs, if like me you have problems negotiating steps, let the hotel know in advance.

At £85 the best value hotel in Harrogate, room was refurbished and clean, unlike another hotel i stayed at on my last visit which was shabby and tired. The reception areas and restaurant were also in keeping with the grandure of the place.
