The Coach House

Lake Road, Windermere

Contemporary accommodation in the heart of the lakes. An unusually stylish guest house - originally a Victorian coach house with dangerously comfortable wrought iron beds and wickedly invigorating en-suite showers. Decorated in warm, bright colours and adorned with various antique appendages. Complimentary use of local leisure club and information on local walks and restaurants.

Depart the M6 at J36, follow the road to the left onto the A591 keep on this road till you reach the round-about, take the 2nd turning and follow signs for Windermere. Turn left into Windermere village opposite 'The Windermere Hotel. Stay on this road, we are on the right hand side just opposite the church. If you reach the zebra crossing you have gone too far.

This is a lovely place to stay, went for a girlie weekend away and it would be good also for a romantic stay rooms are well decorated and friendliness of host nothing is too much trouble. I liked the little touches and to be able to use counrty club spa was even better.

The hotel is quite small but easy access because it's situated along the main street down to Bowness from Windermere.
The rooms are pretty and cozy. They have only a shower room(without bathtub).
Madame is very kind and helpful. The full english breakfast is good.

the hotel w as very clean and location good however room was too small to sleep 3 adults. also breakfast limited time from 8.30-9.00.

The hotel was very easy to find and the owner was lovely and very helpful, the rooms and breakfast were also lovely. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again.
