Location and view from restaurant were good. Room was a decent size but dark and the carpet not good. Beds (two singles combined) were of very poor condition and did not provide any support. Breakfast good and service excellent. |

Nice to find white linen on the dining room tables. The slightly tired look of the place belies the excellent food. |

Not quite 'country house hotel'. Large comfortable rooms but bathroom in need of TLC. Terrible pillows, cheap and smelling of previous guests! Good breakfast |

I had very enjoyable stay at the lodge, the food was excellent and we had Sunday Lunch, Evening Meal and Breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the grounds were lovely and brilliant for the kids to run around mad with a football. |

Service in restaurant very poor. we waited for 40 mins to get our starters and no one asked us if we wanted drinks.not a lot of choice either. Breakfast was a little better but stiull not great. Our room was ok but not worth £100 for one night.Didn't like wooden outside staircase access to rooms because it felt very unsafe and quite rotten. |
