Bay Tree House Bed & Breakfast

1 Irving Street, Southport

A small, personally-run, town house with particularly good guest accommodation. All in all a very well equipped and very smart Bed and Breakfast. All rooms en-suite and complete with DVD player, minifridge, hairdryer and bedside telephone with bathrobes, personal slippers, quality complimentary toiletries and Gilchrist & Soames Soaps provided as a matter of course. The award winning breakfast includes a lavish buffet with Fruits, Muesli and Cereals, Juices and Greek-style Yoghurt followed by a choice of not only a Traditional English Platter but also other options including Haddock with Fresh Spinach, everyone's favourite Eggs Benedict or our own special Kedgeree with Southport Shrimps. Vegetarian dishes include our Lancashire Potato Cake topped with Roasted Pepper Piperade, the ever-popular Buck Rarebit and our newest dish: Medley of Creamed Mushrooms on toasted Pumpkin Bread. There is a small lounge for residents to enjoy and we have some off-street car-parking available but also there are no restrictions on the street outside either. In Spring 2006 Bay Tree House was voted one of the top three guesthouses on Merseyside. in 2007 we installed all brand-new en-suites (one traditional, five contemporary) and we have now completely refurbished all six guestrooms which also now have digital flatscrren tv with Freeview channels. Now classed as "A Superior 4-star Guest House" by the AA.

Check-in / bag drop off earlier than 2pm is available by arrangement @ £15.00 supplement otherwise all accommodation is ready from 2pm onwards. All accommodation is non-smoking

Bay Tree House is a lovely B & B. The room we had was very well furnished and the bed very comfy. Big bonus was a well stocked minifridge. Fresh milk was provided and the drinks were reasonably priced. Wine glasses provided too. Lovely big cups and saucers. Plenty of teabags, coffee and even KitKats! Bathroom modern and spotlessly clean, good towels and toiletries. Very sociable host. Extensive breakfast menu - fresh fruit, cereals, juices,eggs benedict, kippers etc as well as full English. Just ask for what you want - nothing is too much trouble for Allan and Tom. And as for Sam - well he's just a sweetie !

Excellent situation easy to find and plenty of parking. Owners very helpful and extremely pleasant. the bedrooms are tasteful and have every conceivable extra one can imagine. The breakfast is the best we have ever had. To sum it all up.............100%

Hotel was very good.........staff very pleasant........breakfast had plenty of selection, and was very well presented.
Arrived very early (noon), and was able to claim a parking slot on the front of the hotel..........having said that, there's free street parking also available, right alongside the hotel.
DVD's, Bathrobes, Slippers, Toiletries all available at no cost.
Would definitely stay there again, should we re-visit Southport
