This 'B' listed building in one of Glasgow's most sought after Victorian Residential Terraces combines comfort with historic charm. The hotel overlooks the beautiful and tranquil Queens Park which was constructed in memory of Mary Queen of Scots on the site of the famous Battle of Langside in 1568. The hotel is a short rail journey from the heart of Glasgow and only fifteen minutes by car from Glasgow International Airport.
The Ewington hotel boasts 43 individually designed bedrooms ranging from King size suites to four poster bed rooms. All rooms are in keeping with the character of the building throughout this Victorian era property.
The bedrooms, many featuring period style furniture and furnishings, have all the modern comforts of en suite bathroom, colour television, radio, direct dial telephone, trouser press, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities.

Once past the reception, you can see that the hotel has seen better days. It was obviously very grand in it's past and I can understand that the maintainance of those standards would put the hotel beyond my pocket. If you are interested there are one or two architectural features still in evidence.
The dining facilities left a little to be desired - but that may have been a reflection on the time of year that we stayed.
It is by far the best economy hotel around Queens Park - and yes I have stayed in others - most of which are more pre-occupied with bar sales and TV screens - given the location of the fottball ground somewhat understandable.
It is very quiet around the location - don't expect the hustle and bustle of Glasgow centre - that is a few miles away.
There are a few good reastuarants within easy walking distance ( 5 - 10 minutes max ).
A comfortable 3 days - but I got this on an offer about £25 less per room per night, inc breakfast. I don't think I'd bother at the normal rate of £79.

My stay was only for one night and this was fine when i got up to have shower in the morning it was not working so that would be my only complaint as i had to leave for home without a shower which is not a tradgedy but if it had been for a special occasion it would have been most inconvienent other than that everythinelse was fine
