Difficult to find any fault. The location of the hotel is gorgeous, the staff were very friendly and it was great to stay in a hotel with a bit of individuality in it's decor and layout.
If I had to give some criticism, it would be that the staff seemed a little bit stressed at breakfast time. As we were on holiday, I'd rather wait an extra couple of minutes for my breakfast and chill out! However, as this is most negative comment that I can come up with, hopefully this will reassure you if you are thinking of staying here.
P.S. We also ate at the attaching restaurant one evening of our stay. Food and service were of a very high standard

Lovely hotel in a great location, friendly staff. Good restaurant, although extremely busy and would need to book in peak season.

The hotel was beautiful, very breathtaking as you drive upto it along the driveway. There was a very welcoming log fire as you enter the hotel. The bedroom was beautiful all decorated to a high standard. Very relaxed atmosphere it feels like you are in a very large house rather than a hotel. There was only one member of staff there when we arrived he checked us in, showed us to our room, served at the bar etc, when he saw we were taking great interest in the numerous pictures and antiques that are in abundance around the hotel he then gave us a guided tour. The Stables resturant was delicious I can not put into words how wonderful the meal was, just excellent!! We had a wonderful time at Soughton Hall and will definately be returning.
