Originally built in the 16th Century as a private house The Winchester Royal Hotel has been upgraded over the years offering a comfortable lounge, separate bar, with a conservatory restaurant offering mouthwatering delights.If the weather is fine we even offer BBQ lunches in the tranquility of the garden.

Heading South on the M3-Junction 9 exit following the road signs for the town centre and over the roundabout. At the bottom of the hill, cross the river bearing left and turning first on the right. Follow the one way system taking the second right into St.Peters Street.The hotel is immediately on the right hand side.Heading north on the M3 -Exit the M3 at junction 10 follow road signs to the town centre. At the T junction(mini roundabout)turn left.At the next rounabout turn right. Follow road to the left signed 'all routes' taking the second right onto St.Peters Street. Hotel is on the right hand side.

Extremely comfortable, clean room overlooking quiet garden. Friendly, efficient welcome at Reception. Well-appointed city-centre hotel; modern standards of service in a historic building. Good breakfast. I'll certainly use it again if I go back to Winchester.

I have just spent a very plesant weekend at the Winchester royal hotel, however I felt that the hotel was due a makeover as it was looking a bit tired, the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent, although the bar prices are a little high I would not hesitate reccommending this hotel
