The room was well appointed with almost all that you would expect. The location of the house and the room itself were wonderfully quiet. The house and the garden were interesting. The continental breakfast was good. My reservations were that (1) the owners were a little too off-hand in their attitude to the guests and (2) service of breakfast finished at 8 a.m. which was really far too early for guests hoping to have a break, though it might have suited business people. This was the more incomprehensible since the hosts were simply have to prepare the hot drink chosen by the guests. Otherwise it was all self-sevice. |

We were surprised and disappointed that a full English breakfast was not offered as it was on a previous visit. There is no mention of continental breakfast only in any of the brochures or internet. |

Lovely country situation, on a high ridge, close to Tring which is a pretty village. Large garden with masses of beautiful flowers in different beds. Very peaceful. Overlooks miles of gently undulating countryside covered with trees of many different species. |
