The hotel is clean, friendly and in a pretty location right on the sea with hills to the right and a small village with a lovely harbour on the left. The grounds are very well set out with some great pools and a wee beach. The staff are lovely and the food is excellent. I would recommend eating at their restaurant La Caleta and the Lanz beach bar is very good too. A great place to simply relax. The reception staff are not the quickest though so be careful about that aspect. |

On arrival it was everything we expected, a very nice ambience with an air of sophistication. HOWEVER!!! we did have one very large issue. We feel the hotel needs to decide if it catering for the liesure market or the conferencing market. On our third day a Spanish company had what must have been its annual conference and the peace and tranquility was shatered. On arriving at breakfast which up until then had been a pleasure. We were greeted by hordes of Spanish business peaple jabbering away in little meetings and mobile telephone conversations. Not enough staff and a bun fight to find anything to eat. This was made worse by the fact that the conference was due to start at 11:00 and they then proceded to hang around in all the public areas jabbering on mobile phones and having animated conversations with each other. When you spend all year in meetings and listening to other people on mobiles the last thing you want is to exprience this. It is to say the least not very relaximng and actually became very annoying after the 3 days for which the conference lasted. So although we would recommend it CHECK TO SEE IF THEY HAVE ANY CONFRENCES BOOKED on the days you would want to stay. |
