Directions to The Leathes Head Hotel
From junction 40 of the M6 (Penrith exit) take the A66 towards Keswick.After 17 miles you will see the first exit to Keswick (on your left) DO NOT take this exit but continue on for another mile to a large roundabout.The first exit is signposted to Keswick & Borrowdale. Follow this road to the T junction and turn left into Keswick Town centre.At the first mini-roundabout turn right and follow this road around the town centre (bearing left). At the next mini-roundabout go straight on (there is no left exit at this roundabout) and then very shortly afterwards, at the third mini-roundabout turn right onto the B5289 signposted to Borrowdale.Continue along this road for about 3.75 miles (passing the Lodore Hotel and the Borrowdale Hotel on your left).After a further 0.25 miles you will see our sign on your left - The Leathes Head Hotel.

This was a fine hotel in a superb position. The food was excellent and there was a good selection of resonably priced wines. For the price though I felt that the bathroom and television we a little past their sell by date. |
