A lovely hotel, our room was well designed with good furnishings and a great bathroom with seperate shower. All very clean. The corridor outside our bedroom was being decorated, we had to step on the dust sheets to get to the room, not very impressed with this or the smell of paint. The breakfast was rather hurried and very small portions. In the evening we ate in the Gumstall bar, the food was excellent and we would throughly recommed eating there. |

Just fantastic. whilst feeling completely spoilt being in such luxurious surroundings, the whole place has the most modest, easy going, helpful and relaxing ambience. Beautiful room, wonderful breakfast, which we were encouraged to take at completely leisurely pace. Staff throughout helpful, warm and friendly. Spa facilities great, outdoor hot tub to die for. Just wish they had some cheaper offers for 2 or 3 night stays that would be more affordable to those of average means. Hopefully though i'll be back again and maybe, not indulging too often, makes it that much more of a special treat! Terrific stay thank you. |

Second time at Calcot Manor and was not disappointed. Staff are friendly and helpful. Roomn service was slow, but the waiter apologised and we had seen earlier that the kitchens were busy catering for an event in the barn. My only criticism, having no kids, was the number of children in the Conservatory restaurant in the evening, The hotel guide discourages children there, but there were plenty, even at 9pm. This is fine abroad, where children seem to be able to behave during meals, but I'm yet to be convinced in this country. |

We stayed for just one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary - it wasn't enough! This is a lovely hotel - beautifully decorated with many thoughtful touches such as iced water and a selection of books to read in the rooms; comfortable beds; and impeccably friendly service. Our dinner in The Gumstool Inn was so delicious that we also stayed on for lunch the the next day, the only problem being that we were so full from dinner the night before that we couldn't manage a cooked breakfast! We topped off our stay with sumptuous massages followed by a morning lounging in the pool and stunning outdoor hot tub. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel. |
