The Hotel was very easy to get to and very central for seeing Cornwall. It proved itself to be an excellent base for our family holiday. The breakfast was substantial and we enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I was particular impressed I could get wifi in the Hotel on my laptop and there was digital TV for the children. I would recommend this Hotel for people with children. |

This is more of a guest house than a hotel, but cleaner and more comfortable than a lot of hotels I've stayed in. Directions given were very good. Proprietors very laid back with absolutely no restrictions on coming and going - last one in locks the front door. Only had breakfast, so can't comment on food, but breakfast was sufficient. Large car park to the rear of hotel. Only downside was that the rooms and hallways in the hotel were very hot and we were unable to open the sash windows in our room. Good base for exploring Cornwall, but Liskeard itself after 5.30pm is dead. We went in November 2007, and the last bus into Looe left Liskeard at 6.25pm, and the last bus leaving Looe for Liskeard is at 6.50pm - so you do need a car. |
