We went on Sunbday night and had a room at the front of the hotel and town centre was very quiet so everything was fine, but don't know what the noise would be like from the traffic on a week day.
Will go there again but will take the precaution of asking for a room at the rear of the hotel. Mind you if they could put in secondary glazing there wouldn't be any noise problem.

A friendly welcome, nice room and great breakfast close to the city centre for a good price - much nicer than your standard chain hotel. Seems churlish to moan at all, but - alukewarm bath, an odd smell coming up through the bathroom pipes in the morning, and a slight overcharge on the laterooms price we couldn't be bothered to argue about.

very comfortable room - would have preferred power shower particularly as booked a superior room. Shower was over the bath type and a little bit fiddly.
Breakfast was ok - scrambled eggs overcooked.
Comfortable hotel with nice ambience and pleasant lounge area. Would probably stay again as convenient for city and university. Staff friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and well furnished, but small in size. Breakfast was delicious!

Really beautiful room, with a huge bed. Lovely decor all around the hotel and especially the breakfast room which is decorated with venetian masks. Overall the hotel was very accomodating with friendly staff, good breakfasts and reasonanble price for the great location- only a few minutes into town and to restaurants. Would definitely recommend to friends and family visiting Exeter.
