The 4 star, Grand Hotel occupies pride of place on the Torbay seafront, commanding majestic views over the bay and out to sea. Since being purchased by the Richardson Group in 2001, it has undergone a stmpathetic restoration that has exposed its magnificent Victorian and Art Deco architectural characteristics. Whatever the weather, the comfort and luxury of the Grand has something to offer everyone. For the more active, there is the Grand Leisure Suite with its 15m swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and sun shower as well as a multi-gym.
In the summer, there's the pleasure of an outdoor pool, complete with fountain, children's area and plenty of space in which to soak up the sun's rays from the comfort of a sun lounger.With friendly and welcoming staff Its the perfect place for families and those wishing to relax in the leisure club or beauty salon.

We had difficulty opening and keeping the window open although when reported it was quickly attended to.
The method of air extraction in the bathroom was not adequate.

Enjoyed my stay although had to say that the room was very dark and in need of modernisation. Fantastic breakfast and speedy checkout.

We had a fantastic stay at the grand & loved it so much that we decided to stay another night. They even did a turndown service which we were very suprised at when we retuned back to our room later in the evening & also a chocolate left on our pillow. Nothing was too much trouble for them & they were all a very friendly staff. Very prompt service & a good breakfast,although I had a minor complaint to the quality of the daily special in the lounge area. Great room too with view of the sea even though it was an inner room.We would definately stay again!
