Hotel du Vin and Bistro Henley

The hotel was very triendly with helpfull staff , first £15 charge to park the car overnight, secondly long walk to room , no lift! The room was small and stuffy but clean and well presented sadly any view was obscured by a large tree in the graveyard outside the room, the room phone did not work so couldnt complain about the TV not working and had to walk a marathon to the reception, sadly there was a function which kept me awake until after midnight then I was kept awake for the rest of the night by someone posing as an elephant running around on the wooden floors of the floor above for the rest of the night
In fairness the receptioist reduced the bill by £25

Great room - big, clean and with the added bonus of a DVD player and large TV. But it's ALL about the bathroom, a massive free-standing bath and huge walk-in shower! Really makes the difference for a romantic break. The rooms however, aren't sound proof and you can hear a little bit of noise from outside. The bistro is really nice - good atmosphere, excellent wine list and lovely restaurant-standard food (it doesn't feel like you're in a hotel) although the service is a bit slow. In summary, was really impressed as it's great value for money for the location and room standard. Will definitely recommend to friends and hopefully visit again.

extras - like car parking in the underground car park - added up, but it was a delightful and unforgettable birthday treat - expensive treat but a superb one.
would stay here again - in spades!

The studio rooms are superb , nice atmosphere , good food all in all a very nice experience
