With only a few number of bedrooms, I thought it'd be a small cottage B&B but I was very shocked with the size of the place. The rooms were generously big, so too was the en suite bathroom which has a huge tub and a huge shower cubicle. The location was hard to find in the dark but upon arrival, it was worth the journey and I'm sure in the sunlight, it wouldn't have been such a problem. The reception was friendly and a great experience overall. Highly recommendable and much better than the big chain hotels.

We were made very welcome and, on a cold autumn evening, the spacious bedroom was warm and very inviting. The proprieter kindly brought us a pot of tea & biscuits which was just what was wanted and an unexpected bonus. The room and bathroom were spotless.
We spent a cosy evening and enjoyed the long deep roll top bath. It was so comfortable and cosy that I believe I may have dropped off to sleep in it!
In the morning we had a cooked breakfast of home grown produce that was a lovely relaxing start to the day. The proprieter was attentive to our needs and nothing seemed to much trouble for her.
The property itself is rambling and really fascinating. I returned home most envious of the space and the fun you could have losing yourself in one of the many rooms. I would have liked more time, some daylight and drier weather to have properly explored the grounds, the lakes and the bird hides. With that in mind we hope to return as it so convenient to many places in the Midlands being adjacent to the nearby main roads and motorway network.
The directions given were excellent and we found the property, although tucked away, very easily. Our conclusions - sat nav is for wimps!
This is the upper echelons of B&B. Give a try why don't you. We did purely on the off chance and didn't regret it for a minute. Highly recommended.
