We had a great stay at the Royal. It's a bit tricky to find and the entrance is a bit confusing but once you're in it's smart and modern. The room we had (416) was really lovely and relatively spacious. The bathroom was well appointed and modern with good quality shower gel etc.
The hotel is well located if you are travelling to Cardiff by train and is close to the Stadium and the city centre nightlife, shopping and business districts.
The only complaints I would have are that there's no parking at the hotel and parking costs approx £10 per day in the nearest NCP, the view was also pretty ugly but there's not a lot a city hotel can do about the view when the area is being regenerated.

Hotel was located in a creat central position to the city. However the car parking was a reasonable walk from the hotel. On arrival the room was stifling hot and after making a cup of coffee with the appliances provided we found a plaster in the coffee filter.................lovely. Overall a good hotel however I will be trying somewhere different next time.
