The luxury Hotel Esplanade Praha, located across from to the Prague State Opera, has been an elegant meeting point for the city´s cultural and business life nearly for 80 years. Nowadays, in 2008, all guest rooms were elegantly renovated to fulfill all comfort requiered by our guests. One of the most famous hotel of twenties has an unique historical atmosphere balanced with ultra modern comfort. Elegance reveals itself at the Hotel Esplanade Praha. Built in 1927 this hotel is a legendary place capturing the essence of that time.

By Taxi (from the Praha-Ruzyne Airport): - The hotel can pick you up from the airport for EUR 38, if your flight details are provided. By Car (from airport to hotel) - E48 First take the HIGHWAY 7 -direction S to Centrum than to the left to Evropska street (direction E), you will see the circle –crossroad, please turn right and on the first cross-road to the left, you will be on Milady Horakove street (direction E). On the big cross-road (aprox. 1,5 km) turn right to Letensky Tunnel (direction S ) and over the Hlavkuv bridge, After the bridge turn left (2x) and than right. Take street Nabrezi Ludvika Svobody (direction E), before the tunnel turn right to Highway Magistrala street E50 (direction S). There is Main train station on the left side and on the right side you will see our hotel. Please turn right to Politickych veznu street, go around the block and you will be before our hotel Esplanade. By public transport (from the Praha-Ruzyne Airport): -Take bus number 119 to Dejvicka station. - Change to Green line A of the underground and travel 5 stations to Muzeum station (Green line A). - Then walk 200 metres towards the train station. The hotel is located in front of the State Opera House. From Main Railway station - 200 meters by walk from train station direction centrum (downtown).

    Good Location- All sights walking distance
    Nice breakfast which was inclusive
    Rooms small but furnished to a high Standard
    Only downside
    On other side of back courtyard major development in progress, work starts @ 8 am even on Sundays- bad if you want a lying in - lokks like this will take at least ANOTHER 6 MONTHS- is this the reason for the discounted tariff???
    I was not affected as we got up fairly early for sightseeing anyway

    Great location close Wenceslas Square & National Museum.
    Staff were helpful & our room was palatial!

    The hotel was value for money only because we got the 50% off per night. Also, 5 stars for Prague hotels are not international 5 stars quality rather their own standards. Reaslistically, It is more of a 3-4 stars hotel.

    The hotel position was excellent, only 2 minutes walk from the top of Wenceslas Square. The rooms were new,clean and fully equipped. Service was attentive and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. Our only gripe would be the cost of drinks at the hotel bar. It is not what I would describe as a luxury hotel but is a good standard, clean and good location for exploring Prague.
