Directions to Bloomfield House
From the M4 Junction 18. When you arrive in Bath, at first follow signs for 'Warminster or Bristol', NOT city centre, keep following the route around the city, still following Through Routes/ Bristol signs, through 2 sets of lights, one roundabout, another set of lights (under a railway bridge) then look for signs for the A37 (A367) to Shepton Mallet & Radstock. Take this road (Wells Road) uphill 'till the road levels out, Bloomfield Road is a right fork ahead of you, just after a monkey puzzle tree! Bloomfield House is the second hotel on the right. Call 01225 420105 if you have any difficulties. We look forward to seeing you.

Beautiful hotel, friendly and family run. We felt very welcome, and they served breaskfast (fair trade and organic - delicious) nice and late to allow for a luxurious lie in. |

Proprieter was more than helpful but the Guest House was not as I expected. The location is considerably outside the centre of Bath via a downhill trek. The entrance area is cluttered and difficult for those with access problems. I am not an animal lover and disliked the dog and cats although the owner did ask if we were alright with them. |

If you don't mind kids and dogs (but I suspect that if you have booked a hotel with a four poster in a city that is just what you are trying to get away from) - then its ok. The room was beautiful and the view of the City was as promised. I love kids and dogs and I have both at home. And thats why I wanted to get away. So it wasn't really getting away. In hindsight I would have preferred the anonymity of a big hotel so to choose a hotel with only 6 rooms was our own fault. If you like the Waltons/Fawlty Towers as the owner himself described it you will love it here. |
