it was cold overnight! -The radiator in our room, and that of the neighbouring rooms on the same floor, was not working the first night. We drew it to the attention of the 'housekeeper/cleaner' who looked into it, but when we returned to the hotel for the second night the problem had not been resolved. A very helpful member of staff provided a rather dusty old electric heater, which sorted things for the remaining night, but overall this was pretty disappointing for a stay during December, when heating matters! Also, we were unable to park at the hotel on arrival (a Friday evening); they told us their website makes this clear, but LateRooms had no mention of the limited space...a real nuisance to walk through wind and rain from the car to the hotel with our luggage. Having said that, extremely friendly staff and very good food, both in the evening and at breakfast....we'd certainly recommend the hotel and would stay there again (after confirming the heating is working!) Outstanding sea view from the room.

Excellent in all aspects except for the lack of hot water/pressure in the room. What you got from a big power shower head was cold water, how would you like one of those this time of year??. It really spoilt the stay at the Commodore, no way we would recommend until water situation is sorted, or would we stay again. Such a shame as the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. This problem needs to be sorted urgently!!

Arrived at the hotel about 3.30pm, went into the bar where the barmaid tried to find someone to book us in, as she was alone and very busy serving, after a short wait she eventually left the bar and booked us in herself. Room was very clean, bed was a bit soft (not recommended for people with back problems) Could not get shower to run hot so gave up and just had to have a wash instead, only stayed for one night to visit my kids who live in the area so wasnt a big problem. Breakfast had a good choice (inc in price) Again when it came to book out at 9.30am no one could be found anywhere, eventually found someone in the kitchen and the chef was sent out to take payment etc. Location of this hotel is fab and had a late night stroll on the beach opposite.
I would stay here again, I know it is out of season but some kind of sign to say where you could find someone to check in/out would be very helpful.

Water pressure in hotel is terrible. My shower did not work and water dribbled out of the taps.
