Lion Quays Hotel is situated on the banks of the Llangollen Canal, on the main A5 trunk road between Oswestry and Wrexham.Designed to set new standards of comfort and convenience, Lion Quays has retained the grace and charming character of its tranquil surroundings.Lion Quays Hotel successfully combines the elements of a warm home from home with modern facilities to meet today's business needs. Bedrooms offer both traditional and contemporary styles with many rooms boasting balcony views of the Llangollen Canal and surrounding countryside.Our Waterside Bar and Restuarant offers guests the chance to sample traditional favourites as well as contemporary and international offerings.
Our recently completed Country Club & Spa is now fully open. Hotel Residents will receive complimentary use of our gymnasium and pool and can also take the option to dine in our Club Restaurant. Treatments can be booked in our beautiful spa and charged as taken.

From the North: take the A483 by-passing Wrexham towards Oswestry, the A483 merges with the A5, carry on towards Oswestry crossing a bridge into the Shropshire border. Take the third exit at the roundabout and Lion Quays Hotel is two hundred metres on the left hand side.From the South: Take the A5 trunk road leading North to Wrexham and North Wales. By-pass Oswestry keep on the A5 until you pass a service station on the left hand side, go right around the next roundabout back along the A5. Lion Quays Hotel is two hundred metres along the A5 on the left hand side.

We were disappointed with the quality of the food despite the hotel having all the requisites of a 4 star hotel the food at breakfast and at dinner was no more than very average

In comparison with the quality of the rooms, the position and the service, i was very disappointed with the food. The starters were too big and quite frankly the ones I chose were tasteless. The main meals were stodgy and the vegetables were beyond 'el dente' - almost raw and difficult to eat. Felt I could have got a better meal in a Brewers Fayre - as my son, who is a chef says, don't put anything on a plate that can't be eaten!! Disappointed.
