Sporting Lodge The Greyhound Hotel

Warrington Road, Manchester/Leigh

The Greyhound hotel is situated in a prime location for Manchester and Liverpool including the international airports. The hotel is professional yet friendly with a warm welcome every time you stay. It is low cost but provides superior services including the Escape Zone leisure facilities with pool, gym, spa, steam room and sauna. The hotel has a traditional pub with excellent food and an award winning restaurant. The rooms are spacious and functional all including en-suite bathrooms with a number of other facilites as standard. The American style suites can sleep up to 5 people and are perfect for the family, whereas the double bedded rooms are great for the commuting business person. Please note that on special black out dates and bank holidays we only offer limited access to our facilities as we have earlier closing times.

An enterance is available from the A580 just before the round-a-bout.

The hotel looks great when you arrive. I was put in a room that was on the second floor right at the back of the hotel. I had a one year old and I am also very pregnant. When I got to the lift it wasnt working I had to walk up stairs carrying my bags and my 1 year old. When we got to the room it looked nice. My little boy fell asleep after a bath and I put him to bed (there are no cots so we had to share a bed) when I got into the bed it was awful you could feel ever spring in the matress I hardly slept all night. I mentioned it to the receptionist in the morning and she just said I should have asked to move. How can you do this when you have put you little one to bed ! She was the only person who wasnt helpful at all. I would stay again if they sort the beds out.
