We booked this hotel as a party of 14 for a 40th Birthday party. Nothing was too much for the hotel staff at all. The food is an impeccable standard and the new mews rooms with a hot tub outside provides a welcome rest after long walks on the fells. I can't say enough about this hotel, I have been coming to the Lakes for over 15 years and this is a little gem. Can't wait to go back for the beer festival 5 - 7 Sep. |

Excellent hotel, friendly and the food was amazing. Our room was a let down as it was the only one not refurbished at the time however it has been done now. Overall a superb hotel |

Hotel recently refurbished and all areas very pleasant. The route to the bar and restaurant was via outside which with Lake District weather can be a problem. Excellent choice of beers in the bar. Food very good and good choice. |

We had a wonderful weekend at this gorgeous hotel. the grounds are beautiful, as is the hotel and rooms etc. The food was excellent, breakfasts to "die for" and all the staff were most friendly and welcoming. Had a great meal in Tweedies on Friday which was lovely as was the fun, "buzzy" atmosphere. |
