We got a cheap deal so it was good value for money. It's a lovely hotel with lovely staff but I don't think it warrants the normal price tag. We were upgraded into a junior suite which seems to happen quite a lot. Really clean with lovely toiletries. Some of the main channels on our tv didn't work but I think if we had bothered to mention it, someone would have sorted it out straight away. Good choice of breakfast and it was fine for me although my boyfriend found it very small. Very easy to get a bus or taxi into town and a leisurely walk is only about 20 mins. If your get a late deal, definitely worth it. |

The hotel itself was very well kept, the staff were excellent and the food was very good (not however, in my mind worthy of all the awards however). The room however was a bitter dissapointment. It was incredibly clean and in good repair, but the pictures on the internet do not bear any correlation to the actual level of room. The hotel is very old fashioned (if that's your style then great) but I couldn't comprehend if it is - why the put modern room pictures up as their 'standard'. |

Breakfast was super. I wish that we had waited instead of eating in Chester at lunchtime and eaten in the evening at the hotel as the menu looked amazing. |
