The hotel looks pleasant, reception staff efficient albeit not particularly friendly. We arrived early and was just told check-in is 3pm, not even an offer to see if room is ready earlier. Bar open before 11 so that was a bonus. When we wnet to our room it was freezing! On contacting reception were informed that heating comes on at set times but she would give it a boost. It did come on but took ages to warm the room. There were also stains on the quilt cover so first impression not too good. We went out for evening meal and by the time we returned the heating was already off again, so again freezing!. No supplementary heating and the tiled bathroom, although very spacious and clean, was also very cold. Wi-fi has to be paid for. Breakfast was very good and a speedy service. |

Hotel was very well refurbished with very comfortable room. There was a wedding party on the Sat night, but we weren't disturbed by the noise at all. Only niggle was that on the first morning it was very busy, and breakfast was very slow and a bit over cooked. The other two mornings more than made up for it. Fantastic location - would definitely stay again. |

Lack of parking space. On enquiry we were told that we had already been warned that there is little available parking in our booking confirmation - we had not been told this. |
